Fishing Abroad

Where in the world could you experience such fantastic and
diverse fishing than up the east coast of America. By
'trawling' the internet you'll discover that there are just
thousands of companies waiting to arrange whatever your
heart desires (or your pocket can afford!). Here are just a
few ideas that could give you some direction for further
research, ranging from the warm waters of Florida to the
decidedly chilly ices of northern Quebce. The choice is
your.

Florida Keys. Sometimes known as the 'Fishing Capital of
the World' the Florida Keys enjoys the warm waters from the
gulf stream and is great for scuba diving and snorkelling
as well as fishing in the coral reefs that range from five
to ninety feet in depth. There are many charter boats of
all shapes and sizes available for the anglers who come
from all over the world to sample the excellent fishing.
Many feature world class fishing tackle, fighting chairs
and outriggers in addition to the home comforts of air
conditioning, entertainment centers and state of the art
galleys.

Going a little further north, you'll find North Carolina's
outer banks teaming with game fish and delicious sea food.
Whatever type of fishing you want to indulge in, you'll
find it here with surf casting, trolling diving and spear
fishing or deep sea fishing in the Gulf Stream. Again
there's a wide variety of fishing boats available for
charter ranging right up to the forty six foot custom
Hatteras charter boat which provides charters from the
Hatteras Landing Marina.

Back on the northern trail you'll find the climes are
becoming decidedly chilly but what you lose in heat, you
make up for in the wonderful salmon fishing. You'll find
that fishing is the way of life for the people and they are
truly passionate about the wonderful, clear, gushing rivers
that encourage the world's most intelligent salmon. Here
you can learn the true art of salmon fishing; the patience,
the understanding and the respect that great anglers need
but if you want to head inland you can visit some of the
tens of thousands of lakes that are home to trout and pike
and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Any variation of
holiday and accommodation can be arranged in order to give
you the fishing experience of your life.

Even further north, you'll move into the world of northern
Quebec where the climate is much less friendly and the
indigenous people have used fishing as their only means of
food. Here you can learn the skill and solitude of the art
of ice fishing. Various villages will drag hundreds and
hundreds of small shacks onto the rivers and lakes and hire
them out for people who want to simply sit in their own
worlds to fish. The season is short, from Christmas through
to February and is turning out to be a profitable business
for the locals who can offer complete peace and solitude to
those who want to leave the madness of their own worlds for
a few days. If you can cope with the cold you're likely to
catch a mixture of walleye, yellow perch and pike; redfish,
cod and turbot and rainbow and speckled trout depending on
the village where you go but you're guaranteed to have
enjoyed the pleasure of getting to know yourself again.
